With the Internet ever evolving, finding a Webhosting company that is reliable and will last longer than a year is often quite difficult. Many providers offer features that you will never use on your website as well as ultra low costs. However these providers often hire equipment and services from third parties, so if there is a problem or a feature to be added the lead times often double, if ever sorted at all.
LighteningSoft in the past did use third party hosting, and yes we did have problems. This has now changed, at the beginning of the year, 2004, we set about investing in new equipment and services. This all came online in the middle of 2004. We now host our clients site on our own servers.
We can register any domain name (subject to availability) with the suffix; '.co.uk', '.com' or '.uk.com'. Domain names can be registered for varying durations to cater for your requirements. Sub domains, 'subdomain.yourdomain.com', can also be registered.
We also provide website space for your online needs, web hosting accounts include; 10 POP3 email accounts, unlimited email aliases, script support for PHP3, Perl and CGI. Prewritten CGI Scripts can also be added.
Every web host account features its own, easy to use administration page, allowing configuration of email accounts and access to site statistics – extra features can be added to meet your requirements at a minimal cost.

The image is a representation of the system used. In essence the servers, on the left, are protected by a backup power supply and tape backup. The network switching is also protected by another backup power supply. Then there are 2 routes to the internet. |
